🍿🏈🍿 Your Super Bowl MVPs: Trailers for ‘Deadpool & Wolverine,’ ‘Wicked’ and ‘Planet of the Apes’
While Taylor Swift was chugging beers, we got a bunch of new movie trailers.
If it’s Super Bowl Sunday, you know we’re going to get a handful of new movie trailers.
Did this year’s batch of previews live up to what we got last year? (Looking back, last year’s class of Super Bowl trailers didn’t really shake out in theaters, with the exception of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.)
The trend of showing a teaser for a trailer with the prompt to check out a complete trailer online was in full effect this year. I get that studios are trying to save some money by airing a shorter trailer, but it’s kind of a pain to have to jump to YouTube or social media and try to find the trailer that you just saw teased during the Super Bowl.

The Super Bowl didn’t waste any time getting to the trailer we were all waiting for: Deadpool 3.
Sorry, that’s Deadpool & Wolverine.
Not only did we get a new title for the film, we got to see just how Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool would fit into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Looks pretty good, huh? I’m excited to see how Marvel Jesus rewrites the MCU.
