Nicolas Cage swings into two versions of the first trailer for the Prime Video series. PLUS: Super Bowl trailers, âThe Mummyâ is officially back from the dead, and the old gang is back for the âScrubsâ revival.
If itâs Super Bowl Sunday, you know weâre going to get a handful of new movie trailers.
Did this yearâs batch of previews live up to what we got last year? (Looking back, last yearâs class of Super Bowl trailers didnât really shake out in theaters, with the exception of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.)
The trend of showing a teaser for a trailer with the prompt to check out a complete trailer online was in full effect this year. I get that studios are trying to save some money by airing a shorter trailer, but itâs kind of a pain to have to jump to YouTube or social media and try to find the trailer that you just saw teased during the Super Bowl.
(Weâre only looking at legit trailers here. Sorry, teaser ads for Kung Fu Panda 4 and A Quiet Place: Day One.)
Go Bills.

The Super Bowl didnât waste any time getting to the trailer we were all waiting for: Deadpool 3.
Sorry, thatâs Deadpool & Wolverine.
Not only did we get a new title for the film, we got to see just how Ryan Reynoldsâ Deadpool would fit into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Looks pretty good, huh? Iâm excited to see how Marvel Jesus rewrites the MCU.

No Marvel this year, but we got new teasers for Spielbergâs âDisclosure Day,â âThe Mandalorian and Grogu,â âMinions & Monstersâ and more.
The secret to doing âThe Muppet Showâ turns out to be just doing âThe Muppet Show.â PLUS: Disney picks a guy not named âBobâ to be its next CEO, and trailers for âDevil Wears Prada,â âMonarchâ and âYour Friends & Neighbors.â
