Snickers Banana Nut Bread. / Snackology
After missing out on M&M’s Banana Nut Bread this summer, I made it my mission to track down Snickers Banana Nut Bread. I have no idea why banana nut bread is having a moment, but after my Harris Teeter never had the M&M’s in stock, I’ve spent the past week or so checking any Walgreens I come across for the Snickers take on the flavor.
I found plenty of Snickers Banana Nut Bread bars at the Walgreens by our daughter’s swimming lesson place last weekend. (The display also featured Snickers spokesman Josh Allen.) I grabbed two of the candy bars before we also snagged a mystery Halloween Squishmallow from the seasonal aisle.
Was Snickers Banana Nut Bread worth the chase? Meh. It’s OK. The banana bread flavor is barely — barely! — there. Maybe you get a touch of it at the end of a few consecutive bites, but you really need to concentrate. It’s a shame, since a chocolate banana Snickers bar would be awesome.
The cost: I bought mine at 7-Eleven along with a few other things, and I forgot to save the receipt. I think a share size like this goes for like $3?
This edition of Snackology has bonus content! I snagged a Snickers Xtreme the other day. I really enjoy a Snickers Almond, so I was intrigued by this amped up version of that candy bar.

It turns out that in order for Snickers Xtreme Almond to go XTREME ALMOND, it has to ditch the nougat. That’s a dealbreaker for me. A Snickers bar has to have nougat. That’s what holds us together as a society. No amount of extra almonds is worth losing nougat in a Snickers bar.
