Hey there, Snackology readers. We’re kicking off the May 2026 edition of Snack Chat with another series of movie tie-ins. While The Mandalorian and Grogu had lunch at Burger King, Minions & Monsters has found promotional partners that better represent two key elements of Minions lore. One, they’re yellow. And two, they love bananas.
So get ready to add French’s Minion Yellow Mustard and French’s Goomi’s Green Mustard along with King’s Hawaiian “Shake ’Em” Banana Bites to your shopping list.
“French’s has always been part of summer’s biggest moments, from ballparks to backyard cookouts. Partnering with Illumination’s Minions & Monsters reimagines that tradition with a surprisingly colorful and undeniably fun, green twist,” McCormick & Company said in the company’s announcement of the mustards.
Minions are big in our household right now. Our daughter had her first theatrical experience a few months ago with Hoppers, and she’s let us know that she wants Minions & Monsters to be our next movie trip. She’s already happily signed on to my quest to find King’s Hawaiian “Shake ’Em” Banana Bites at our grocery store ... but I don’t think she’ll be interested in French’s Minion Yellow Mustard and French’s Goomi’s Green Mustard.
I have a hunch, though, that our daughter will like the Minion mustard-bottle topper that comes with the French’s Minions & Monsters Limited Edition 2-Pack.
Before we get to this month’s Snack Chat, I gotta research whether I can write off the Ninja SLUSHi Twist as a business expense. You can pour Coke Zero into one, right?
