Is there a more American way to celebrate the nation’s 250th birthday than with a new flavor of Doritos? (The chip was scientifically crafted to be so irresistible that someone wrote a book about the phenomenon.) I’ve been hunting for Doritos Ultimate Garlic Parm for a few weeks now, finally finding a bag on Target’s website a few days ago.
I’m impressed that we’re still finding ways to create new flavors of Doritos. And it’s not like Doritos went with just Garlic Parm for this one. No, they amped it up to Ultimate Garlic Parm. Ultimate, folks. According to the description on Target’s website, this means that this flavor of Doritos “isn’t just a chip. It’s fuel for disruption.”
I have no idea what that means (or how Garlic Parm, in either its regular or ultimate form is representative of America’s semiquincentennial), but Ultimate Garlic Parm is an excellent new Doritos flavor. If you took Cool Ranch and dialed its base flavors down a touch while also adding a kick of garlic at the end, you would get this flavor.
