Mountain Dew Zero Sugar rankings, McD’s dirty sodas, Rodrigo preps for ‘SNL,’ and Weaving kills in ‘Over Your Dead Body’

There’s a good chance I have too much Mountain Dew in our home. (You can probably apply that statement to almost anything that Snackology covers.) More specifically, the Zero Sugar versions of Mountain Dew. The release of Dirty Mountain Dew Zero Sugar really drove that point home for me. The newest member of the Mountain Dew flavor became the seventh flavor that I still had at least one can of in my stash. It was time to rank them.

There’s something about the fountain drinks at McDonald’s that gives them an edge over a soda at pretty much any other restaurant. Sure, you can get a Coke at a bunch of fast food chains, but a Coke at McDonald’s just tastes better. (There are actually a bunch of reasons for this phenomenon.) But what if McDonald’s had a way to elevate its drink menu even more? That’s where McDonald’s new lineup of crafted sodas and refreshers comes in.

Wendy’s is officially rolling out a new spring menu today, adding some sweet and spicy items to its lineup. On the sweet side, watermelon has a starring role in Watermelon Lemonade, Watermelon Sparkling Energy and even Sprite Watermelon. On the spicy side, jalapeño kicks up the heat with a Jalapeño Ranch Cheeseburger, Jalapeño Bacon Breakfast Potatoes and Jalapeño Breakfast Biscuits. But the star of this spring lineup has to be the new Cookie Dough Frosty Fusion.

After a well-deserved break, SNL returns for its final three episodes of Season 51 this weekend, with Olivia Rodrigo pulling double duty as host and musical guest.

Over Your Dead Body is good stuff. Yes, there’s a ton of gore. Heads explode. Body parts are lost. But Over Your Dead Body is incredibly funny. This is a credit to Jorma Taccone’s directorial touch, perfectly balancing the movie’s humor with its level of violence. I mean it in the nicest way when I say that Jason Segel was expertly cast for this role too. The true star of Over Your Dead Body is Samara Weaving.
