Happy 55th birthday, Pebbles cereal! To celebrate the milestone occasion, Post is releasing Birthday Cake Pebbles, a new limited-edition flavor that tastes like, well, birthday cake.
I didn’t realize that this was going to be a big week for Pebbles, but after very much enjoying a generous serving of Fruity Pebbles mixed into a vanilla milkshake at Dairy Queen on Monday, I was already in the right mindset for Birthday Cake Pebbles.
Both our daughter and I wound up enjoying Birthday Cake Pebbles straight out of the box more than we did with milk. Despite Post describing the cereal as having “a delicious burst of birthday cake flavor,” they’re actually a bit subdued when compared to the sugary punch that you get with a bowl of Fruity Pebbles or Cocoa Pebbles.
Birthday Cake Pebbles were provided to Snackology for this independent review.
