The cost: The 52 oz. bottle is $5.29 at Target

We took our daughter to an outdoor Christmas event last year, and our tickets included either a hot chocolate or a hot cider. Looking to mix things up, I chose the hot cider. We have powdered hot chocolate mix at home — why not enjoy a hot cider after a ride on a train through a park?
I realized too late that the hot cider they were serving was also from a mix. I barely drank any of the watery, lifeless hot cider that was also destroying my tongue. I would’ve preferred they went with Simply Apple instead of the packets of powdered cider.
If you buy the 52 oz. bottle of Simply Apple, you’ll be welcomed by a “festive winter look featuring a distinctive, cozy sweater-inspired design that celebrates the moments and traditions that make the holidays special.”
Yes, this is just apple juice, but there’s something about this particular apple juice that makes it stand out. It’s a bit more viscous than your usual apple juice, and it feels substantial both as a cold beverage and if you heat it up. I also just like an excuse to break out the Garfield mug that I bought at a garage sale back in the 1990s.
