The world is a stressful place. That’s why Snackology is a big proponent of Little Treat Culture. If you’re not in on Little Treat Culture, let me explain how it works. You run an errand? You get a little treat. You go to the store? You get a little treat. You have to stop at the gas station? You get a little treat.
That little treat can be just about anything. Maybe it’s a soda from the coolers by the registers. Maybe it’s a bag of chips. Maybe it’s a chocolate bar.
A chocolate bar is an excellent reward when it comes to Little Treat Culture. You can eat the entire thing yourself. Chocolate bars likely have some kind of sectioning, making it easy to break a piece off and share it with your significant other or kids.
Ghirardelli Premium Milk Chocolate Bars are going to be a huge development for Little Treat Culture. While I’ll never turn down a classic American Hershey’s bar, sometimes you want something a bit fancier.
“Premium Milk Chocolate Bars represent an exciting innovation for Ghirardelli,” Ghirardelli said in its press release announcing the new line. “Milk chocolate remains one of the most beloved chocolate categories, and we saw an opportunity to bring a new level of attention and care to it. The result is a bar that brings together the quality and chocolate expertise that have long defined the Ghirardelli brand.”
Now that I have you wondering why you weren’t already living your life according to Little Treat Culture, let’s give these new chocolate bars a taste ...

You can buy all three flavors on Ghirardelli’s website for $7.95 per bar.
As noted above, all three flavors of the Premium Milk Chocolate Bar are milk chocolate. I won’t hesitate to pick up a dark chocolate or a white chocolate bar (please bring back Crunch White!), but it’s hard to go wrong with milk chocolate.

If you want to experience the joy of milk chocolate with no distractions, the Ghirardelli Premium Milk Chocolate bar is what you’re looking for. This is the base that the entire Premium Milk Chocolate Bar lineup is based on.

The Premium Milk Chocolate bar is creamy, with Ghirardelli noting that it’s “designed to melt quickly and evenly.” As you can probably tell by the pictures for this edition of Snackology, my chocolate bars were a bit softer than normal thanks to their shipping journey to my home.

The Milk Chocolate Sea Salt Almond bar is easily my favorite of the trio of new Ghirardelli bars. Building on everything that makes the standard Milk Chocolate bar so tasty, this flavor adds crunchy almonds and a perfect touch of salt.

Kids these days have no idea how lucky they are to grow up in a world where candy companies embraced salted chocolate as a standard candy bar flavor.

The Premium Milk Chocolate Caramel Crisp bar is the ultimate boss of Ghirardelli’s new lineup. This one has everything. Milk chocolate! Caramel bits! Crisped rice!

The combination of flavors and textures hits your taste buds on multiple levels. (I think there’s even a bit of salt in there too.) This is easily the most decadent option of the three flavors, a most luxurious treat if you’re looking for the perfect nibble on the way home from running to the store.
