Hello! Welcome to the Nov. 1, 2025, edition of the Saturday Wrap. Here’s everything you might of missed from The Omnicosm.

This weekend is the third anniversary of the relaunch of Popculturology.
When I started producing Popculturology as a newsletter, I just wanted to have chance to write up my thoughts on pop culture. I never envisioned that those early editions would eventually lead to where this site is today.
Snackology celebrated its one-year anniversary at the beginning of September. Over the past few months, I’ve elevated that newsletter, upping the quality of photos in each new post. In March, I pulled Popculturology and Snackology together under The Omnicosm. And this fall, Deep SNL Thoughts took on an expanded presence on the site, adding SNL news to the established episode recaps.

If you were watching SNL last season, you got glimpses of what Ashley Padilla could bring to the show. In her freshman season, Padilla already felt like a seasoned vet. She might’ve caught your attention in “Trauma Support Group,” but it was during “Joann on JOANN Fabric and Crafts’ Bankruptcy” when Padilla let it rip.
Despite only having a season under her belt, many SNL fans thought Padilla would’ve been promoted from featured status this season, but Lorne Michaels hasn’t given her the bump to repertory status just yet.
That hasn’t stopped Padilla from absolutely dominating Season 51. While she didn’t snag any airtime until the end of Bad Bunny’s season premiere with “Parent Teacher Conference,” Padilla was in a bunch of sketches during Amy Poehler’s episode, before scoring her biggest moment yet in “Surprise” when Sabrina Carpenter hosted last week.

Am I excited for the final season of Stranger Things? Sure.
Do I expect the show to end with Eleven and Vecna waving their hands at each other just like we’ve seen these characters do the past four seasons? Absolutely.
And I am going to laugh as the show tries to convince us that these full-grown adults are actually high school students? Yup.

Hey Snackology (taste) buds. Welcome to Snack Chat for October 2025. We’re just days away from Halloween (have you caught all of Snackology’s Halloween coverage?) and just about to enter the snackiest stretch of the year. I gotta stop making the mistake of scheduling my yearly physical for right after New Year’s ...
You probably have a few days left to grab one final pumpkin spice latte before the season is over. Why not read Snack Stack’s deep dive into the history of the iconic drink— and wonder if Tori Amos was actually the beverage’s secret inventor? While you’re doing that, I’m going to see what it’ll take to get the resurrected Chi-Chi’s restaurants to open a location by me. I’m owed a fried ice cream for my birthday.
