Who better to pick an ‘SNL’ ‘weirdo’ sketch than Sarah Sherman?

It’s Wednesday, which means for the world of SNL, it’s time for a new episode of The Rundown. This week’s installment features Sarah Sherman picking the best “10-to-1” sketch.

“It’s the danger zone, it’s the weirdo zone,” Sherman said of this slot in an episode.

If you’re not familiar with the concept of the “10-to-1” sketch, this is where SNL often stashes its strangest, most bizarre sketch. (Think “Potato Chip” featuring Jason Sudeikis and Will Forte.) These are sketches that are too wild — or inappropriate — to fit anywhere else in the show.

Who better than Sherman — a performer who specializes in body horror/humor and also goes by “Sarah Squirm” — to pick a sketch for this slot in The Rundown? Sherman choosing the vomit-heavy “Rookie Cop” absolutely feels right.

The funny thing about picking “Rookie Cop” is that, at least according to the rundown on the SNL wiki, it wasn’t even a “10-to-1” sketch. Yes, it was a “weirdo” sketch, but it aired immediately after Weekend Update.

At least Sherman didn’t pick a sketch of her own for The Rundown, like someone else ...
