Hey there, Snackology pals. Welcome to the August 2026 edition of Snack Chat.
Can you believe that it’s been a whole year since Oreo and Reese’s finally stopped flirting with each other and released official Oreo Reese’s Cups and Oreo Reese’s Cookies? (Snackology wasted little time in sending reviews your way of both the candy and the cookie.) Hershey is now celebrating the Oreo Reese’s Cup’s first birthday, bringing Lindsay Lohan and Amy Sedaris on board to help.
Why Lohan, you might ask? Noting that “some pairings feel destined from the start,” Hershey knows that the actress’s work in The Parent Trap remains a key memory for a large part of its candy-buying audience.
“I love that I’m able to be a part of such a moment with Reese’s Oreo,” Lohan said. “Working on this campaign has been such a fun experience, and it’s been amazing to see fans embrace this collaboration. Getting to share this moment and work with Amy and [Patricia Arquette] makes it even more special.”
Oscar-winner Arquette directed the commercial, while Sedaris got to take on the twin role in the spot.
