Apple Pie a la Mode Oreos are back and still full of apple-y goodness
After making their debut last year, the limited-edition Oreo flavor is already back on shelves.

It turns out that Snackology isn’t alone in its mid-August transition to fall. Oreo Apple Pie a la Mode cookies are already back on shelves as I type this review. We first got this cookie flavor last year, and it seems that it was a big enough success for Oreo to immediately bring it back instead of making fans wait a few years for another chance to enjoy it.
You might also notice that this edition of Snackology is under a new “Second Helping” category. I’ve revamped the “Classics” section to make it more clear that we’re returning to a previously released item. I promise to keep covering the Shamrock Shake, whether it’s 2025, 2026 or beyond.
I paid $4.99 at Wegmans for this pack of Oreos.
I reviewed Oreo Apple Pie a la Mode cookies in August 2025.

After opening the package of Apple Pie a la Mode Oreos, I was immediately struck by an apple-cinnamony scent that unlocked some core memory in my brain.
Was it Frosted Brown Sugar Cinnamon Pop-Tarts? No, those would’ve been missing the apple component.
It finally hit me: The old-school apple cinnamon Quaker oatmeal. The kind that had the freeze-dried bits of apple that would come to life when you poured hot water over the contents from those paper packets.
What a throwback.
This is still an excellent Oreo flavor. The apple flavor continues to brightly shine through in each cookie. This isn’t as easy a move to successfully pull off, it turns out. For every Cinnamon Toast Crunch Apple that knocks it out of the park, there’s a Wendy’s Apple Crumble Frosty Fusion that can’t figure out how to deliver that level of apple-y pop.
