New Late Night Doritos deliver Hot Honey Pizza craze with a crunch
After tackling jalapeño poppers, burgers and tacos, the Doritos sub-brand turns its attention to its next ‘uninhibited’ snack.

I love that there’s an entire sub-brand of Doritos dedicated to “[inspiring] the uninhibited ‘late night’ side of Doritos lovers.”
While you can always find Nacho Cheese and Cool Ranch Doritos on store shelves, PepsiCo has been rotating a roster of limited-edition flavors through the Doritos Late Night banner since 2009, giving us flavors like Tacos at Midnight, Last Call Jalapeño Popper and Loaded Taco.
The latest flavor in this lineup is Doritos Late Night Hot Honey Pizza.
I don’t always buy the Late Night flavors when I find them, but as someone who has on several occasions over the past few weeks not only made his own bagel pizzas but drizzled some Mike’s Hot Honey on them, I had a good feeling about this flavor.

According to the bag, $5.49. I think this is an exclusive to Kroger and Kroger-owned stores. I bought my bag at Harris Teeter.

Doritos Late Night Hot Honey Pizza chips. / Snackology
Despite being a major presence in the chip aisle, the Late Night sub-brand doesn’t really get much press from PepsiCo. The official Doritos website doesn’t even feature any of the flavors!
But Doritos Late Night Hot Honey Pizza should be in the spotlight. They’re a delicious addition to the Late Night family, adding a bit of heat to a flavor profile that I can best describe as “a hint of cheese” that’s a bit more savory than your traditional Nacho Cheese Dorito. The “pizza” taste in these chips is nowhere as precise as what Local Style Chips delivered with their Deep Dish Pizza offering.
Hot Honey Pizza, despite its somewhat mysterious flavor profile, is probably the Late Night flavor that I’ve found myself repeatedly pulling the bag of chips out of the cupboard to eat. I couldn’t say that about Doritos Late Night Sizzlin’ Cheese Burger when they were released a few years ago ... even though one of my nephews wound up housing that bag when he was at my house.
