The Cup Noodles x Dash Dorm Survival Kit is the perfect college roommate
Dorm life has been dramatically updated since the days of a wonky microwave.
Dorm life has been dramatically updated since the days of a wonky microwave.
It’s been a long time since I graduated college. Long enough that my college had not only the time to rebrand itself as a university, but also plenty of time to bulldoze the college newspaper office that I pretty much lived in to make way for a shiny, new business school. It turns out journalism majors don’t donate enough money to earn their own buildings, I guess ...
Despite being more than two decades out from college, I still have dreams about forgetting to go to a class for an entire semester and then waking up and having to remind myself that I graduated, so I think that still qualifies me to review the Cup Noodles x Dash Dorm Survival Kit.
What college student wouldn’t love to move into their dorm with six cups of Cup Noodles, an electric kettle and a rapid egg cooker?
“For generations, Cup Noodles has been the go-to dorm room staple that college students know and love,” Priscila Stanton, senior vice president of marketing at Nissin, said in the company’s announcement. “This collaboration with Dash lets us take that a step further, giving students the full setup they need to thrive and conquer the school year. And as the original entry point to our expanded Nissin ramen portfolio — including Cup Noodles Protein, Hot & Spicy and Chow Mein — this partnership celebrates the legacy that started it all.”
Kids these days have no idea how good they have it. We had a microwave in our dorm to heat up noodles. An electric kettle? Fancy.

You can get your very own Cup Noodles x Dash Dorm Survival Kit for $70 on Dash’s website.

If you purchase the Cup Noodles x Dash Dorm Survival Kit, you’re going to be surprised at how large this box is. It barely fit into the light box that I use to take photos for Snackology reviews, and it was impossible to get a photo with the lid open.

But there’s a reasonable explanation for that size. This box, stamped with fun graphics like “Noodles before notes” and “Hello, my name is Hungry,” contains half a dozen Cup Noodles, a Dash Insulated Electric Kettle and a Dash Rapid Egg Cooker.
