When I reviewed a trio of Dave’s Killer Bread bagels back in May, I had no idea how that moment would change my life. The company’s bagels — especially the Plain Awesome and Cinnamon Raisin Remix flavors — have become my go-to breakfast item. Snackology really can change lives.
And now for the fall season, I get to add Dave’s Killer Bread Pumpkin Spice Madness Bagels to our fridge.
“Dave’s Pumpkin Spice Madness Bagels are making a highly anticipated comeback to our bagel lineup,” Cristina Watson, senior director of brand management for Dave’s Killer Bread, said in the company’s announcement. “BreadHeads have been clamoring for the return of this iconic, organic favorite. It’s Pumpkin Spice season, but with a DKB twist: 10 grams of protein, 4 grams of fiber, and all the fall flavor you want.”
I’m thrilled that Dave’s Killer Bread decided to bring this flavor back for the first time in seven years. Neither the pumpkin nor the spice flavors are overpowering. Their sweetness is on par with what you get from the brand’s cinnamon raisin bagels, and definitely less sweet — in a good way — than Dave’s Killer Bread Summer Berry Bagels. Pumpkin Spice Madness Bagels pair perfectly with a generous spread of cream cheese.
