Huh. This is interesting. Dakota Johnson hosts SNL for her third time this weekend, and instead of the normal Wednesday promo featuring the upcoming host and a few SNL cast members doing something quirky around Studio 8H, we got what are basically the rapid-fire promos that SNL releases at the end of the week.

Are we going to get another set of these exact same promos, only in front of home base and with the members of Turnstile standing to Johnson’s right? Did SNL run out of time to do something more elaborate this week?

I hope this isn’t the end of the Wednesday promos as we’ve known them the past few years. It’s always fun to get an early glimpse at how a host is going to play, and to see which SNL cast members get to jump into the mix.
