After turning into a genuine pop culture phenomenon over the summer, KPop Demon Hunters added a new accomplishment to its list of achievements: A No. 1 box office hit.

Netflix gave a singalong version of KPop Demon Hunters a two-day theatrical run this weekend, dropping it in theaters for just Saturday and Sunday. The animated film was popular enough over just that two-day frame to jump past Weapons.

The singalong version of KPop Demon Hunters played in 1,700 theaters, a huge jump from the 638 that Glass Onion played in back in November 2022. The Knives Out sequel never landed higher than No. 3 during the theatrical run that Netflix gave it.
