‘You win’: Blueberry Pie Oreo cookies are back
Nabisco finally released the beloved flavor from the Cookie Vault.

If you grew up in the 90s, you’ll remember the Disney Vault. Disney had this bit where they’d release one of their classic animated movies on VHS (and later DVD) for a short period of time and issue the threat that everyone needed to buy a copy before the studio pulled it from shelves and stopped selling it for who knows how long.
The gimmick worked.
In the days before Disney+, people knew to buy the Gold Edition or Masterpiece Edition of Beauty and the Beast when Disney told them to or else they’d have to wait a decade for another chance.
Oreo seems to be running that playbook when it comes to some of its most popular flavors. S’moreos returned to shelves a few months ago, and now Blueberry Pie Oreo cookies are back after last being available in 2017.
I missed Blueberry Pie Oreos when they were previously available, but thanks to my devotion to Snackology readers, I didn’t miss their return. Are they worth the eight-year wait?

Where I found it
Harris Teeter, coming through on the new Oreo flavors as always.
What I paid
The standard pack of Blueberry Pie Oreos was $5.79.

My thoughts
I’m sure the bright blue of Blueberry Pie Oreos will be banned at some point over the next few years, but for now we get to bask in the Smurfy glow of the creme in these limited-edition cookies. Seriously, Nabisco didn’t mess around when it came to making sure there was zero doubt that the filling in these Oreos was blueberry flavored.
According to Oreo, the Blueberry Pie cookies boast a “scrumptious blueberry flavor creme, sandwiched between two graham-flavored wafer cookies, making them a wonderful summertime treat.” The graham-flavor cookies get a ton of use across the wide array of Oreo cookies these days, most recently serving a key element in S’moreos.

Blueberry Pie Oreos are a simple cookie. They don’t have multiple creme flavors swirled together. The cookies don’t come with salt or popping candy. It’s a real classic combo of graham and blueberry.
Final verdict: BUY
Nabisco brought Blueberry Pie Oreos back for a reason. They’re a known hit. The people love them. And the people are right to have asked to have them back since they disappeared in 2017.
