There are many ways you can ruin Thanksgiving. You could argue about politics with your family. You could fail to properly defrost your turkey after inviting your cat’s vet over for a big dinner date. Or you could serve your guests Oreo Thanksgiving Dinner Cookie Tin.

Over here at Snackology, I’ve covered more than a dozen new and returning Oreo flavors. There have been Oreos with Oreo bits in them, Oreos that are supposed to taste like Coke Zero, Oreos endorsed by celebrities like Post Malone and Selena Gomez. But I’ve never covered a batch of Oreo flavors like the ones that come in Oreo Thanksgiving Dinner Cookie Tin.

It’s hard to improve on a cereal as perfect as Cinnamon Toast Crunch, but these two seasonal flavors are delicious updates.

Pepsi Prebiotic Cola brings a true cola taste to a prebiotic soda

I love soda.

We probably have at least ten different flavors and varieties in our house at all times. I’m a firm believer in “a little treat” culture, which is where whenever you run an errand — whether it’s to Target, the grocery store or CVS — you get yourself something for the car ride home. For me, that little treat is usually a bottle of whichever soda caught my eye at the register.

(Full disclosure: For the first at least 25 years of my life, I called soda “pop.” I’m from Rochester, New York, and that’s what it is there. Wegmans even named their now-defunct soda line “WPOP,” so I had their endorsement on calling it pop. But after living in the DC area for enough time, I was shamed into converting to “soda.”)

I’ve been slow to jump on the recent rise of prebiotic sodas. I know it’s dumb, but the SpongeBob/Olipop collaboration really opened my eyes to how delicious a prebiotic soda could be. But between that pineapple flavor and ones like the Crisp Apple flavor that I, yes, picked up after seeing it while in line at the grocery store, I tend to stick with non-cola flavors of prebiotic soda.

Something about the cola flavors never hit right. I know what a cola tastes like. And I know that the prebiotic cola flavors can’t match that.

But now Pepsi is attempting to do just that.

The soda giant announced Pepsi Prebiotic Cola back in July, calling it “the boldest evolution in cola in more than two decades.”

Glen Powell leads Slay Division; MacGruber, Ashley Padilla and ‘Update’ tackle the Epstein Files

I had high hopes for Glen Powell’s first time hosting SNL, and his episode didn’t disappoint.

The Running Man star was in the mix with almost every sketch, with Powell showing off a Norwegian accent, flaunting a severe bob and even offering his take on Liam Neeson in Taken.

This episode hauled.

I take notes while watching SNL and try to loop back and write during commercial breaks and the musical performances, but it felt like I never had a chance to catch my breath during Powell’s episode. The show bounced from live sketch to pretape to — and who would’ve expected this in 2025 — new MacGruber segments.

(Things moved so fast, there somehow wasn’t time for guests during Weekend Update.)

Overall, Powell was just what the show needed after last week’s episode stalled out. The cast felt engaged. The sketches were fun. (Most of them would’ve earned Best Sketch honors had they aired during Nikki Glaser’s episode.) I can’t imagine this will be the last time we see Powell hosting SNL.

Melissa McCarthy to host ‘SNL’
The Five-Timers Club member will return as host for the first time since May 2017.
Josh O’Connor and Ariana Grande to host ‘SNL’
It’ll be the ‘Wake Up Dead Man’ star’s first time hosting, while Grande is no stranger to the show.

Good trailer, bad trailer: ‘Project Hail Mary’ and the live-action ‘Moana’ remake

We got two major new trailers this past week, with Amazon MGM Studios giving the world a new look at Christopher Miller and Phil Lord’s upcoming adaptation of Andy Weir’s Project Hail Mary ... and the first trailer for Disney’s bizarre live-action remake of Moana.

Despite landing the lowest debut for the franchise, the third film was able to outrun Glen Powell’s ‘The Running Man.’
