After Snackology triumphantly began covering meats like hot dogs and beef sticks, the newsletter is now adding soup news to its portfolio, kicking things off with Campbell’s Chunky Buffalo Wild Wings Parmesan Garlic Chicken Noodle Soup.
I have a deep history with Buffalo Wild Wings. Back in the days of cheap wings, my friends and I would post up at a Wild Wings once every week for a wings night. Many wings were eaten. (Many glasses of Molson Canadian were drunk.) We were at Wild Wings for the ridiculous six-overtime Big East quarterfinal game between Syracuse and UConn. Starting this collab with Campbell’s Chunky chicken noodle soup makes sense — it is a soup that eats like a meal, and this is Buffalo Wild Wings we’re talking about — but why the Parmesan Garlic flavor?
“Parmesan Garlic has long been a fan favorite, and this collaboration gives consumers a new way to discover the brand before coming in to join us at B-Dubs for the full experience,” Tristan Meline, brand president at Buffalo Wild Wings, said in the companies’ statement.
It works. While my Western New York roots make me crave a Buffalo sauce’d soup, I thought the Parmesan Garlic take on chicken noodle soup was pretty good. Maybe a bit too garlicky, but I’d eat it again.
