Marvel Oreo Stuf of Legends Cookies assemble!
The world’s mightiest heroes and America’s favorite cookie come together in the ultimate crossover.
The world’s mightiest heroes and America’s favorite cookie come together in the ultimate crossover.
I’m old enough to remember a time when superheroes — especially Marvel superheroes — were related to comic books and the occasional animated series. Sure, if you were Superman or Batman, you got a few movies. Then the successive hits of Guillermo del Toro’s Blade, Bryan Singer’s X-Men and finally Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man turned superheroes into box office staples.
Fast forward to 2008 when the fledgling Marvel Studios was on the verge of releasing Iron Man. If that film had failed, we may have seen superhero movies implode back to those pre-Spider-Man quiet times. Instead, Jon Favreau and Robert Downey Jr. launched the world’s first true cinematic universe.
Suddenly characters that had never broken through to people not steeped in comic book lore like Iron Man, Doctor Strange and even the Guardians of the Galaxy were everywhere. Movies. Lego sets. There’s even the wildly popular Disney Junior series Spidey and His Amazing Friends.
And now Marvel heroes are about to enter their most ambitious crossover: Marvel Oreo Stuf of Legends Cookies.
“Oreo cookies and Marvel’s epic superheroes share something powerful: the ability to spark joy, inspire connection, and create moments that resonate with fans,” Oreo Vice President Matt Foley said. “This collaboration takes the iconicity of both brands and channels it into an experience where fans are not just spectators, but participants encouraged to immerse themselves in superhero-inspired play through the lens of Oreo cookies.”
The Marvel/Oreo crossover officially launches on Feb. 2, with three of the four collectible packages available right off the bat. (It’s absolutely wild to me that Ghost-Spider/Spider-Gwen is on a package of Oreos alongside Wolverine.) Oreo and Marvel are running a promotion allowing fans to “assemble and guide a fleet of delivery trucks, ensuring the prized fourth pack reaches its destination while thwarting the evil force derailing its journey.” I bet that fourth package arrives safely ...
In addition to the four different package designs, Marvel Oreo Stuf of Legends Cookies come in a whopping 32 different designs.

The collection of characters featured on these Oreos is pretty expansive, covering heroes, villains and even some folks who straddle the line. (Looking at you, Magneto Oreo.)
And if this crossover wasn’t already ambitious enough, these Oreo cookies featuring color-changing creme. Are you ready to power up and save the universe? Or, at the very least, eat a bunch of Oreos with your favorite superheroes on them?

Marvel Oreo Stuf of Legends Cookies will be available in stores beginning Feb. 2, but you can currently buy a two-pack of them on Oreo’s website for $10.58.

Unlike many of the Oreo cookies that I’ve reviewed on Snackology, the Marvel Oreos are pretty much your standard Oreo. They might have color-changing creme and Marvel heroes embossed on one side, but they’re still two chocolate cookies with the flavor of Oreo creme between those cookies that we’re all very familiar with.

Flavor aside, though, that creme is hiding a trick. If you twist open a Marvel Oreo, you’ll find that there are two parts to it. And when you give the creme a good lick, the grayish blue mixes with the white core to create a vibrant blue. Wanna take any guesses whether or not this color-changing creme will leave your tongue and mouth blue? (Pssst, the answer is very, very, very blue.)

I sorted through one of my packages of the Marvel Oreos to see what designs I could find. I was able to pull out some major characters including Spider-Man, The Thing and Captain America, but characters like Ghost-Spider and Ultron eluded me.

My assumption is that all 32 designs were randomly assigned to the packages, and based on the fact that I found at least 12 different characters, it’s not as if Oreo divided them up so that each of the four different packages only got eight characters. I guess I’ll have to finish this package and open another one ... for research.

Marvel Oreo Stuf of Legends Cookies are your classic Double Stuf Oreo, but with a ton of fun added to them. Fans can collect the three packages currently available, chase the fourth package, search for their favorite characters on the cookies themselves and then turn their tongues a comical level of blue thanks to the color-changing creme.
