For director Emerald Fennell, the heights have wuthered. Just a touch. Her adaptation of the Emily Brontë novel tumbled 57 percent from its debut last weekend, falling behind GOAT.
If I were Fennell, though, I’d still be quite happy about the box office performance of “Wuthering Heights.” The film’s $60 million domestic haul and $151.7 million worldwide total have blown away the performances of Fennell’s first two films, Promising Young Woman ($6.5 million domestic, $18.9 million worldwide) and Saltburn ($11.4 million domestic, $21 million worldwide.)
