I don’t trust a person who doesn’t enjoy Goldfish. You’re never not the right age to snack on a handful — or a bag — of Goldfish crackers.
Cheddar is the obvious go-to flavor, but I’ll occasionally pick up a bag of the confusingly named Original flavor too. (Did they used to be called “Saltine” or am I pulling a Berenstein/Berenstain here?) But there’s a great, big world of Goldfish flavors beyond those two options — you can even get them bursting with Old Bay or Awesome Sauce flavor.
The pretzel flavor of Goldfish often seems to be the forgotten variety. This flavor brings all the magic of a crispy, crunchy pretzel in the delightful form a Goldfish cracker.
Pepperidge Farm is about to make 2026 the year of the pretzel Goldfish. The company recently announced a new line of Seasoned Pretzels, with Goldfish Honey Mustard Seasoned Pretzels and Goldfish Hot Buffalo Seasoned Pretzels leading the way.
Not content to rest with a revitalized line of Seasoned Pretzels, the crackers will soon be available in Goldfish Zesty Ranch in addition to Goldfish Toy Story Cheddar Crackers featuring Woody and Buzz Lightyear.

The year 2025 is almost over, but there’s still time to squeeze in one more edition of Snackology that’s all about Taco Bell. (This’ll be the ninth review that I’ve published this year about the fast-food chain.) On Tuesday, the restaurant released another mega-menu, bringing back Cheesy Dipping Burritos (available in steak and chicken), Steak Garlic Nacho Fries and the Quesarito while also introducing the Confetti Cookie Freeze.
It’s funny how these Taco Bell releases snowball. First you get the news about Cheesy Dipping Burritos. Then a week or two later comes the news about the Quesarito. And then you go to put your order in on the app and the Confetti Cookie Freeze is waiting for you.
The return of the Cheesy Dipping Burritos (back on the menu after an appearance late last year) brings with it the Creamy Garlic Sauce. I missed out on the Creamy Garlic Sauce craze when it was first introduced, but the sauce apparently crossed over from being a topping on Steak Garlic Nacho Fries to Taco Bell customers using it for the Cheesy Dipping Burritos.

I’ve been on a big gummy candy kick lately. I think those Trolli x Mountain Dew Sour Brite Crawlers triggered something in my brain, and I’ve found myself gravitating to bags of Trolli or Sour Patch Kids when I’ve been at the airport or on the road the past few months.
But while those sour gummies have been getting my attention, there’s nothing like a classic gummy that isn’t covered in citric or tartaric acid. I love opening a fresh bag of gummy bears and plotting over which colors will meet their demise first.
So when Sweet Stash, a new brand of gummies from Adeev Potash, Ezra Potash and Martin Starr — yes, the same Martin Starr who you’ve definitely seen in projects like Freaks and Geeks, the MCU Spider-Man movies and Silicon Valley — came across my radar, I was definitely interested. It’s a crowded marketplace, but I love to see what new innovations people are bringing to the world of candy.

It wouldn’t be the holidays if there wasn’t a soda company getting in on the spirit of the season. (No, not that soda company. The other major one.) Pepsi announced earlier this month that it was reintroducing Pepsi Wild Cherry & Cream and Pepsi Zero Sugar Wild Cherry & Cream, with a special focus on the soda flavor being perfect for this time of year.
“At Pepsi, we make the best-tasting cola, and cherry cola has been one of our specialties for decades. Pepsi Wild Cherry & Cream builds on this legacy, offering a delicious, creamy twist to the sweet cherry-flavored cola that millions already love,” Gustavo Reyna, vice president of marketing at Pepsi, said in a statement. “The holidays are the perfect moment to debut the flavor’s decadent new packaging and 20 oz. bottle offering — when people want to treat themselves to something rich, irresistibly smooth and just plain delicious.”

I wrote about this a bit when noting the anniversary of the first trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, but movie trailers should be released in the widest, most accessible way possible. At their most basic, movie trailers are commercials and designed to convince people to spend their money on these movies.
Lucasfilm (and Disney) thankfully realized with that first Force Awakens trailer that releasing it in a handful of movie theaters was a moronic idea, and instead let the entire world enjoy it by putting it online.
Disney seems to have fallen back into that trap when it comes to the first teasers for Avengers: Doomsday. Instead of rekindling a level of excitement that the MCU desperately needs with a teaser trailer available online, Disney and Marvel Studios has reportedly decided to doll out a teaser a week for the next Avengers film, attaching them to Avatar: Fire and Ash.
And it’s already not going well.

I adore A Muppet Family Christmas. It was my first entry into the world of Jim Henson. My mom taped it off TV, and our family would watch it on VHS year after year after year. Now, you can watch several bootlegged versions on YouTube.
Why YouTube and not streaming or Blu-ray, you ask? Surely, someone could be making money on this thing.
A Muppet Family Christmas, in its original form with all its songs and characters, does not exist on any official streaming service or physical media.

If you were watching SNL last night, you saw something magical. No, it wasn’t Josh O’Connor as the episode’s host. It was how Ashley Padilla absolutely ran away with the episode.
There are moments during an episode of SNL when a cast member nails a sketch. And then does it again. And maybe again. There are episodes where a cast member somehow snags way more airtime than anyone else.
Padilla did all of that during O’Connor’s episode. And she did it as a featured player. This might be just her second season on the show, but it’s way past time for Lorne Michaels to promote Padilla to SNL’s main cast. She is the star of the show.
