The 5 Ryan Gosling âSNLâ sketches you gotta watch before he hosts again
When you host âSNLâ as many times â and are as good at doing so â as Ryan Gosling, itâs hard to choose just one.
The âswicyâ take on the chewy candy brings the heat thanks to a tangy chili layer.
For the entirety of human history, Skittles have come in two varieties: Sweet. And sour.
Thereâs little chance that youâre not familiar with the classic sweet version of Skittles. Thereâs obviously the red bag of standard flavors (with lime finally being back in the mix), the Wild Berry purple bag and the Tropical blue bag. I remember first discovering Sour Skittles in the early 2000s, finding them during a gas station break during a summer vacation daylong drive. Sour Skittles are just as good as the regular kind â with the added bonus of them eating away at the inside of your cheeks as you keep stuffing them into your mouth.
As the calendar turned to the 2020s, Skittles were released in gummy format, with Original Skittles Gummies, Sour Skittles Gummies and Wild Berry Skittles Gummies all available at wherever you buy your favorite candy.
And now a third core variety of Skittles has been introduced to the world: Spicy.
Skittles Gummies Fuego are set to make their nationwide debut next January.
âAt Mars, we're always paying attention to emerging trends and looking for exciting new ways for our fans to experience Skittles," Ro Cheng, vice president, marketing, Mars Wrigley North America, said about Skittles Gummies Fuego. âWith Skittles Gummies Fuego, we're adding some spice to a sweet, original fan favorite, bringing a bold flavor experience that we know âswicyâ fans will enjoy.â
Would Skittles Gummies Fuego bring the heat?
Skittles Gummies Fuego wonât be available in stores until January 2026, but you can buy them now â while supplies last! â on Marsâ TikTok shop for $11.99 as part of a combo that includes the other three varieties of Skittles Gummies.

I approached this one with some apprehension. I donât mind some heat in my chicken wings and chicken sandwiches, but with my candy? This was a place where Snackology â and myself â had never gone.
Skittles Gummies Fuego are coated in a âtangy chili layer that adds a spicy twistâ to the chewy candy. That chili layer was unmissable when I opened up the bag and started to pour out the gummies.
How hot would they be?

The Spice Meter on the Skittles Gummies Fuego bag has the candy clocking in at two đ„ emojis out of the three. I have no idea what the parameters of that scale are, so there was only one way to find out ...
One by one, I gave each of the five flavors of Skittles Gummies Fuego a taste.

Not only did the spiciness of Skittles Gummies Fuego not send me running for a gallon of milk, I found myself eating more of the gummies. After trying each flavor â mango, watermelon, strawberry, raspberry and lemon â I ate another round. When my wife stopped by the kitchen, I offered them to her too. She soon returned to see where the bag was, looking to have a few more too.

I didnât expect to give Skittles Gummies Fuego a perfect snack score, but here we are. This candy is doing something that no other candy Iâve eaten was doing. (Iâm not saying that no other candy in the world mixes sweet with heat. Iâm just saying that this is the first time Iâve tried one that is.) The chili layer surrounding each Skittles Gummies Fuego is in perfect balance with the traditional sweetness of the candy. Maybe youâll get a touch of under eye sweat, but the heat on these gummies is nothing that would force you to throw in the white flag.
