If your kid’s selling Girl Scout Thin Mints Frosty Fusions, I’m buying

Wendy’s brings back its Girl Scout Cookies season partnership, elevating the frozen treat with real Thin Mint crumbles.

A lot has happened in the world of Frostys since Wendy’s first partnered with the Girl Scouts for the Thin Mints Frosty last February.

Back then, the standard Wendy’s menu had the classic chocolate Frosty ... and the vanilla Frosty. Sure, we’d get the occasional special flavor, but limited edition desserts like the Thin Mints Frosty weren’t much more than a standard chocolate or vanilla Frosty with some kind of syrup drizzled in.

Then Wendy’s introduced Frosty Swirls last April. We officially had three syrups in play — brownie batter, strawberry and caramel — making a Frosty with an added punch of flavor available any time you walked into the restaurant.

Wendy’s then elevated the Frosty again a month later with Frosty Fusions. The fast food chain had its answer to the McFlurry, giving customers the option to mix in actual Oreo bits, tiny Pop-Tarts Crunchy Poppers and toffee pieces. I was a huge fan of the Fusions, even reluctantly giving the vanilla Frosty its due for pairing so well with the tiny Pop-Tarts. (While this Fusion flavor isn’t listed on Wendy’s menu, I’ve found that some locations still have the ingredients to make it.)

It’s Girl Scout Cookies season again. The Girl Scout Thin Mints Frosty is back. (Like the Shamrock Shake and Oreo Shamrock McFlurry, this appears to be an annual release now.) And this year, Wendy’s is putting all that Frosty innovation to work, releasing the Girl Scout Thin Mints Frosty Swirl and the Girl Scout Thin Mints Frosty Fusion on Monday. Like every other Frosty on Wendy’s’ menu, you can get both versions with either a chocolate or vanilla base.

My thoughts

Based on my in-depth and very serious research, it seems that the Thin Mints Frosty Swirl is what we got with the Thin Mints Frosty last year: A mint cookie sauce (hopefully) drizzled into a chocolate or vanilla Frosty. While I have brought SIX Frostys home at once for the sake of the journalism Snackology does, I skipped the Thin Mints Frosty Swirls for 2026 and focused my energy (and appetite) on the Thin Mints Frosty Fusions.

Girl Scout Thin Mints Chocolate Frosty Fusion

If this is your first time reading a Frosty review on Snackology, you need to know something very important. Extremely important. I’m a firm believer that the chocolate Frosty is the only true Frosty. All other flavors — even vanilla, despite it being a regular menu item — are pretenders.

It should be no surprise then that I found the chocolate version of the Thin Mints Frosty Fusion to be fantastic. Wendy’s really nailed this one. I enjoyed the Thin Mints Frosty last year, but the option to give this collab the Fusion treatment —adding “crushed Girl Scout Thin Mints” to the “rich, minty cookie crumble sauce” that was already in play elevates this Frosty to another level.

Those are real, honest-to-snacky-goodness bits of Thin Mints. When the woman at my Wendy’s drive-thru handed me my two Frosty, I was instantly hit with the classic Thin Mints aroma. It’s like opening a sleeve of the iconic Girl Scout Cookies — only this time, instead of crushing that entire sleeve in a single sitting, I now knew there were two perfectly paired Frostys waiting in my future.

(I also need to shout out the folks working the night shift at my Wendy’s. Getting Frosty Fusions right hasn’t always been an easy task, but they nailed these on Monday night. All the ingredients were there. Perfectly mixed. They even had the Frosty-specific lids and blue spoons that the restaurant introduced when they revamped the Frosty line last year. Great work.)

Last year, I gave the vanilla version of the Thin Mints Frosty a pass. (This was before the Snack Score was introduced.) “The vanilla version of the Thin Mints Frosty is a vanilla Frosty with Thin Mints flavors added to it,” I wrote back then.

But I’m here to tell you that the Thin Mints Vanilla Frosty Fusion is no longer a pass. It’s a very successful vanilla Frosty, coming in right behind its chocolatey buddy in this taste test. (My wife actually preferred the vanilla to the chocolate, but a vanilla Frosty still tastes like a vanilla Frosty to me.)

It’s the addition of the Thin Mints cookie bits that makes this flavor work. The mint cookie syrup isn’t enough to craft a successful vanilla Frosty profile, but a Frosty Fusion with Thin Mints cookie crumbles is the full package.

Wait! There’s a bonus item in this review. I was pleasantly surprised when I was also handed two copies of the Wendy’s x Girl Scouts Thin Mints Frosty Fusion Activity Book.

How adorable is that? I love the Frosty mascot, and I’m pleased to see that Wendy’s is finding new ways to feature it. (We didn’t get enough of the Frosty Frights Kids’ Meal toys this past Halloween.) This activity book has some stuff to color, a few activities and even a page of stickers. Our daughter is going to love finding these booklets waiting for her in the morning.

The Frostys, though, will be long gone.
