Remember back in 2010 when there was the [push for **Cookie Monster** to host *SNL*](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NBN77CM3aow&ref=theomnicosm.com)? We never got a full Cookie Monster-hosted episode, but the *Sesame Street* icon did make an appearance when **Jeff Bridges** hosted.

Cookie Monster and a bunch of his fellow Sesame Street Muppets joined the *SNL* writers’ room in a new video short that premiered on Monday.

There are a bunch of fantastic pairings in this video. **Ashley Padilla** and **Elmo**. (But definitely not Rocco.) Ashley Padilla and **Grover**. **Sarah Sherman** and the **Two-Headed Monster**. Wait ... is that a pair or a trio? The rules on whether the Two-Headed Monster is one or two characters are murky.

Anyone else a bit uncomfortable with Elmo knowing about the Domingo sketches, though?
