**Jack Black** returns to host *SNL* for his fifth time this weekend, making it back-to-back seasons for him. (Thanks, *Mario* and *Minecraft* movies for dramatically ending Black’s hosting drought?) [As Black prepares to join the illustrious Five-Timers Club](https://www.theomnicosm.com/the-cold-open-snl-five-timers-club/), the *Super Mario Galaxy Movie* star invited viewers to join his journey as he gets ready for the show. 

I watched a video of Black with **Anya Taylor-Joy** earlier today, and it’s hilarious that while she’s been treating the Mario press tour as a moment of high fashion, Black has stuck to a “Guy Fieri but a skateboarder” aesthetic.
