Can **Druski** save this season of *SNL*? We’ve seen zero signs that the show can pull out of its Season 52 death spiral, with [last week’s David S. Pumpkins/Donald Trump switcheroo](https://www.theomnicosm.com/the-cold-open-snl-inde-navarrette/) destroying what little goodwill *SNL* has left at this moment.

The comedian is an unconventional pick to host *SNL*. This is the first time **Lorne Michaels** has picked a content creator to lead an episode, and it comes on the heels of a massive political shift after this week’s midterm elections.

I haven’t seen much of Druski’s work, but I found his promo for this episode to be incredibly charming. Hopefully that’s enough to finally deliver an episode of SNL worth talking about this weekend.
