And now those maniacs over at Trolli have joined the fuego fun with **Trolli Spicy Crawlers**. I’ve eaten a ridiculous amount of Trolli gummies over the past year. They’re shaped almost identically to the standard Trolli Brite Crawlers, which is a good thing. Sometimes the more, um, *meatier* Trolli gummies aren’t the most enjoyable candy to eat. I get the whole “they’re worms!” conceit, but I don’t always want to feel like I’m actually eating a grub. The strawberry, mango and pineapple co-flavors are fantastic choices for Spicy Crawlers. Mango and pineapple are often found in habanero salsas, and it’s hard to go wrong with a strawberry-flavored gummy. Trolli Spicy Crawlers stand out from previous attempts at spicy gummies in two major ways. One, they’re also sour. Trolli wasn’t going to abandon the flavor profile that made it a fan favorite. And two, unlike Skittles Gummies Fuego and Snak Club Mike’s Hot Honey Gummy Bears, the heat comes from the gummies themselves instead of the coating. (Yes, I licked a bunch of Spicy Crawlers to test this.) I’m calling for our nation’s gummy candy companies to come together and create a standardized heat scale, though. Skittles Gummies Fuego and Snak Club Mike’s Hot Honey Gummy Bears were both rated two 🔥 emojis out of three, but Trolli Spicy Crawlers scored three 🔥 emojis out of five.
