It’s gummy mania at **Snackology**. Over the past year, gummies have taken over the newsletter. [Haribo](https://www.theomnicosm.com/snackology-review-haribo-balla-bites/)! [Trolli](https://www.theomnicosm.com/will-the-mountain-dew-and-trolli-crossover-worm-its-way-into-your-heart/)! [Swedish gummies](https://www.theomnicosm.com/swedish-gummy-candy-bubs-make-their-american-debut/)! [Organic gummies](https://www.theomnicosm.com/snackology-review-black-forest-organic-gummies/)! For today’s review, we’re returning to [a favorite of mine from last year](https://www.theomnicosm.com/sweet-stash-jams-hit-new-gummy-high-notes/): Sweet Stash Jams.

The gummies, created by brothers Adeev Potash and Ezra Potash and actor Martin Starr, were one of my favorite new snacks of 2025\. (They earned an honorable mention in the candy category [for the inaugural Snackies](https://www.theomnicosm.com/its-time-to-honor-the-years-top-candy-cookies-soda-and-fast-food/).) The trio has now expanded the Sweet Stash lineup with **Sweet Stash Sour Jams** and **Sweet Stash Rock Jams**.

“Sweet Stash is now expanding into stores around the country, and we are preparing to launch two new products,” [the Potash twins told *Bold Journey*](https://boldjourney.com/meet-the-potash-twins-ezra-adeev/?ref=theomnicosm.com). “Sour Jams take our original music-note gummies in a sour direction, while Rock Jams add a crunchy exterior to the gummy center.”

Do the new varieties of Sweet Stash hit the same high notes?

### My thoughts

I loved the flavor lineup featured in the original style of Sweet Stash Jams: Strawbarb, Green Grape, Blue Jazzberry, Orange, Prickly Pear and White Peach. The trio behind the gummy candy put a lot of work into that mix, with the Potash brothers and Starr telling me that they spent “a full year of dialing in the texture, layering the flavors and chasing that feeling that great candy gives you.”

For both Sour Jams and Rock Jams, it seems that Sweet Stash has kept that lineup the same. The bags I reviewed last year featured Orange, while the new flavors now list that flavor as Orange Marmalade. Not sure if a tweak was made there, but the spirit is the same.

#### Sweet Stash Sour Jams

As I’ve mentioned in previous gummy reviews, it’s not always easy to get a sour gummy right. Too sour, and you’re fighting your way through every bite. A bag of Sour Skittles will absolutely melt a hole through the inside of your cheek.

But by keeping the core Sweet Stash flavors the same, Sour Jams adds just enough sour-y coating to amp up the experience of eating these gummies.

They’re still remarkably flavorful. Just like with Haribo Goldbears, I actually prefer Sour Jams over the standard Sweet Stash Jams.

#### Sweet Stash Rock Jams

When I discovered [Target’s Blue Raspberry Crunch Coated Bears](https://www.theomnicosm.com/snackology-review-target-seasonal-gummy/) earlier this year, it was a revelation. Gummy candy *with* crunchy candy coating it? Genius.

The Potash twins and Starr are working on that same wavelength. Sweet Stash Rock Jams are everything that makes Sweet Stash Jams fantastic ... and then they’re coated with sugary rock candy.

Sweet Stash didn’t skimp on the rock candy coating either. While at the end of each bag of Target’s Blue Raspberry Crunch Coated Bears I’d wind up with gummy bears missing their coating, every single gummy in a bag of Rock Jams is plastered with candy crystals.

Vibrant fruity flavors? Check. A crunchy coating? Check. My only complaint is that bags of Sweet Stash Rock Jams should be at least twice as big.
