Back when we used to call it by its full government name, Sunny Delight? Those were wild times. My mom never bought SunnyD for us, so I’d have to mooch off my friends who had households that did. Our daughter is a fan of SunnyD now, but she knows that the one place she can get a bottle is at the food truck at one of our favorite breweries. You know how in a horror movie, a ghost often lingers in the periphery only to suddenly reveal itself? Well, the mystery flavor lurking in my bottle of SpookyD is currently in that first phase. “Is it fruity? Candy-inspired? Citrus with a spooky twist?” SunnyD asks. I’ve thought maybe lime. My wife thought pear. Something with agave? I’m so close to placing it ...
