It might be pumpkin spice season, but **Snackology** continues to advocate for a shift to apple and/or apple cider as the flavor of fall. ([Planters is on board.](https://www.theomnicosm.com/snackology-review-planters-flipz-dunkin/)) And while I don’t think Poppi released Poppi Sour Apple as a limited-edition fall flavor, the timing is perfect.

“Don’t let it fool you … This limited-edition Sour Apple soda might be sweet, but it defff has a bite,” Poppi writes of this flavor [on its website](https://www.drinkpoppi.com/products/sour-apple?ref=theomnicosm.com). “Deliciously tart with a sour kick, it’s the twist your taste buds didn’t see coming.”

Poppi Sour Apple is sour. But it’s not sour in a way that isn’t enjoyable, with its tartness coming on the back end. If I’m choosing between apple-flavored prebiotic sodas, I’m still going with Olipop Crisp Apple. ([Olipop Caramel Apple](https://www.theomnicosm.com/snackology-review-olipop-caramel-apple/) is also much more autumnal than Sour Apple.)
