I mean, if you hadn’t been featured on a bubblegum card, had you really made it? Lucy was on to something with that theory, a theory I think you can also apply to Oreo cookies. In 2026, have you really made it if you haven’t yet gotten your own Oreo flavor? BTS, the superstar South Korean boy band, can now say they’ve officially made it. Oreo announced this week that **Limited Edition Oreo & BTS Cookies**, a new limited-edition flavor, is on the way. “For OREO to be the first snacking brand we’ve collaborated with globally is a huge honor. I mean, ube is all the rage right now. (I can’t stop buying packages of [King’s Hawaiian Ube Coconut Rolls](https://www.theomnicosm.com/snackology-review-kings-hawaiian-ube-coconut-rolls/).) But they’re actually “a hotteok-inspired brown sugar-pancake flavor,” with Oreo confirming that this is the first time there’s ever been a purple Oreo. These cookies are fantastic. The pancake flavor has the perfect level of sugary sweetness to it, reminding me — in the best way — of the warmth you get from biting into a McGriddle at McDonald’s. Despite the purple color, I’m pretty sure that the cookie wafers are just a normal golden Oreo.
