Welcome back, old friend.” I wasn’t lying. I’ve since stocked up on a few more cases of Mr. Pibb Zero Sugar, taking advantage of the (hopefully) generous sales that my grocery store has had on Coca-Cola products. Coca-Cola continues to expand on the rollout of the revamped Mr. Pibb, not only pushing the soda into additional markets, but also by introducing two new flavors: **Mr. Pibb Thrillin’ Vanilla** and **Mr. Pibb Punchin’ Peach**. As of their launch, they don’t come in a Zero Sugar version. Which is tragic, since that definitely excludes them from being soda staples in our household. But I’m going to give them my best shot despite knowing that, because they’re full sugar sodas, they’re going to come off as too sweet for me no matter what. Coca-Cola has added, removed, re-added and modified just how much vanilla it puts into Coke countless times over the years. Giving the relaunched Mr. Pibb a vanilla variety had to be on the list, especially when Dr Pepper already has several vanilla offshoots. ![Mr. Pibb Thrillin’ Vanilla can](https://storage.ghost.io/c/f4/8b/f48be8ca-23c6-4d81-b0cf-da2fb0785911/content/images/2026/03/snackology-mr-pibb-vanilla-detail.jpg) There’s a distinct vanilla extract scent when you pour Mr. Pibb Thrillin’ Vanilla into a glass. The flavor goes very well with Mr. Pibb itself, especially considering that Mr. Pibb is already a cherry soda (sorry, Kickin’ Cherry soda) to begin with. Both flavors together are subtle and smooth, but they work well as a pair. This flavor immediately offered that satisfying fuzzy peach smell. If you’ve ever torn into a bag of peach ring gummies, you know exactly what I'm talking about. I don’t understand the food science behind capturing that fuzzy essence, but Mr. Pibb Punchin’ Peach nails it. ![Mr. Pibb Punchin’ Peach can](https://storage.ghost.io/c/f4/8b/f48be8ca-23c6-4d81-b0cf-da2fb0785911/content/images/2026/03/snackology-mr-pibb-peach-detail.jpg) This is a very fun addition to the Mr. Pibb lineup. The cherry notes of Mr. Pibb take a backseat to the crisp peach flavor. Like with Mr. Pibb Thrillin’ Vanilla, Punchin’ Peach works very well as a Mr. Pibb flavor, but it shines through as its own centerpiece taste more than its vanilla counterpart. I wish Mr. Pibb Punchin’ Peach had a Zero Sugar version (and was readily available in the Virginia area).
