And one villain. - Author: Bill Kuchman - Tags: Snackology • Thoughts for Food, Snackology • Reviews, Snackology, M&Ms, Marvel, Avengers: Doomsday *Doomsday* is coming. And it’s going to be coated in chocolate and a candy shell. With *Avengers: Doomsday* less than two months away, **M&M’s x Marvel Packs** are now hitting stores. The packs feature the M&M’s spokescandies as seven different Marvel heroes ... and one key Marvel villain. “M&M’s and Marvel fans share an unmatched passion for connecting through fun, characters and storytelling, and we are thrilled to bring this global collaboration to the U.S. with exciting new, and delicious, experiences,” Maria Urista, vice president of chocolate marketing at Mars Snacking, said in the company’s announcement. “From limited-edition character mash-up packs in the candy aisle to exclusive comic books and sweepstakes, we’re giving fans across the country thrilling new ways to assemble, connect and celebrate the fandoms they love, while enjoying their favorite candy, in a way only our two brands can.” This weekend is the fourth anniversary of ****Popculturology** relaunching as a newsletter. ****The Omnicosm** wouldn’t exist without ****Popculturology**, so I’m offering a whopping 40 percent off yearly ****The Omnicosm+** subscriptions in honor of this anniversary. When the MCU launched, it wasn’t supposed to work. And before that, so many of these characters — despite being popular among Marvel fans — were fringe characters to the general public. At best. And now we’re getting M&M’s packaging featuring Red Guardian. ## Sign up for Snackology Love reading about the latest flavors of soda, new candy and limited-edition fast food? While the M&M’s x Marvel Packs featured in this edition of **Snackology** are mostly Milk Chocolate and Peanut Butter, the promotion does includes other flavor like M&M’s Minis and Crispy M&M’s. also from the omnicosm [![CTA Image](https://storage.ghost.io/c/f4/8b/f48be8ca-23c6-4d81-b0cf-da2fb0785911/content/images/2026/08/square-rebrand-new-1.png)](https://www.theomnicosm.com/popculturology/) Love what you’re reading? Yellow somehow landed the role of Doctor Doom, putting the goofier of the two main M&M’s spokescandies into *Avengers: Doomsday*’s central role. Yellow also auditioned to play Wolverine, but **Snackology** didn’t get a package of M&M’s with that combo. ![Red as Deadpool](https://storage.ghost.io/c/f4/8b/f48be8ca-23c6-4d81-b0cf-da2fb0785911/content/images/2026/10/IMG_0754.jpg) Red as Deadpool. / Snackology It makes sense that Yellow is Wolverine for the M&M’s x Marvel Packs, since Red is in line to play Deadpool. There are so many parts of this pairing that break my brain. The pose that Red is doing on this package is based on [Deadpool paying tribute to the infamous Burt Reynolds Cosmopolitan pose](https://deadline.com/2015/03/ryan-reynolds-deadpool-costume-burt-reynolds-1201400013/?ref=theomnicosm.com). This is a candy mascot, dressed up as an R-rated superhero, posing like a naked movie star. ![Green as She-Hulk](https://storage.ghost.io/c/f4/8b/f48be8ca-23c6-4d81-b0cf-da2fb0785911/content/images/2026/10/IMG_0751.jpg) Green as She-Hulk. / Snackology I'm a huge fan of the *She-Hulk* TV show, and I wish we were getting more of Tatiana Maslany as the character in the MCU. Disney and Mars seem to know what they’re doing by pairing Green — the M&M mascot that folks like Tucker Carlson are super angry that they’re attracted to — with She-Hulk. ![Brown as Yelena](https://storage.ghost.io/c/f4/8b/f48be8ca-23c6-4d81-b0cf-da2fb0785911/content/images/2026/10/IMG_0750.jpg) Brown as Yelena. / Snackology M&M’s x Marvel Packs are obviously trying to set up *Avengers: Doomsday*, a movie where Florence Pugh’s Yelena is a major character, but it’s still wild to me to see “Yelena” just written on this bag. I love whenever Pugh has popped up in the MCU, but this is a ton of faith put into her character without the “Black Widow” branding. This isn’t small potatoes, folks. ![Orange as Red Guardian](https://storage.ghost.io/c/f4/8b/f48be8ca-23c6-4d81-b0cf-da2fb0785911/content/images/2026/10/IMG_0752.jpg) Orange as Red Guardian. / Snackology Even weirder is the Orange M&M auditioning to play Red Guardian. Good for David Harbour, getting his own M&M’s bag. ![Blue as Daredevil](https://storage.ghost.io/c/f4/8b/f48be8ca-23c6-4d81-b0cf-da2fb0785911/content/images/2026/10/IMG_0753.jpg) Blue as Daredevil. / Snackology The M&M’s x Marvel Packs take a turn now, with the final two characters not seemingly being part of *Avengers: Doomsday*. The Blue M&M is auditioning to play Daredevil. Despite being in a Disney+ show, Daredevil is not in Doomsday. At least not according to anything we’ve been told. Not the Charlie Cox version. And definitely not the Ben Affleck version. (Although, I wouldn’t be shocked if we got Affleck’s Daredevil in *Avengers: Secret Wars*.) ![Purple as Elektra](https://storage.ghost.io/c/f4/8b/f48be8ca-23c6-4d81-b0cf-da2fb0785911/content/images/2026/10/IMG_0755.jpg) Purple as Elektra. / Snackology I also haven’t heard anything about Elektra being in *Avengers: Doomsday*. Jennifer Garner reprised the role she originated in the 2003 movie in *Deadpool & Wolverine*. Would I be surprised if she showed up in either of the next two *Avengers* movies? Nope. But seeing Purple audition to play Elektra feels extremely random here. snack score ![CTA Image](https://storage.ghost.io/c/f4/8b/f48be8ca-23c6-4d81-b0cf-da2fb0785911/content/images/2026/10/IMG_0748-1.jpeg) ****M&M’s x Marvel Packs** **Snack score: 5 out of 5* 🍪 [About the Snack Score](https://www.theomnicosm.com/snackology-snack-score/) *M&M’s x Marvel Packs were provided to *Snackology* for this independent review.* ## Sign up for Snackology Love reading about the latest flavors of soda, new candy and limited-edition fast food?
