Back in 2024, I put myself through the wringer that was Kraft Mac & Cheese Everything Bagel. “That flavoring doesn’t belong in mac and cheese,” [I wrote back then](https://www.theomnicosm.com/kraft-mac-cheese-everything-bagel-flavor-is-a-menace/). “Mac and cheese is too innocent, too wholesome.” Things were a bit better when [I sampled Kraft Mac & Cheese Apple Pie a year later](https://www.theomnicosm.com/is-kraft-mac-cheese-apple-pie-a-dinner-or-a-dessert/). I still don’t know if the flavor of an apple pie belongs in macaroni and cheese, but that one wasn’t bad. On some level, the combo worked ... but I don’t think I’d ever eat Apple Pie macaroni and cheese again. There really isn’t a gimmick to this one. It’s not a breakfast food pretending to be macaroni and cheese. It’s not a fruit-based dessert that’s snuck into the classic recipe. People mixing and matching their Kraft Mac & Cheese and ramen flavoring packets is a thing that happens in real life. I don’t doubt that doing this yourself would probably deliver a better version of a ramen-flavored macaroni and cheese, but the Kraft version was good enough to hit that sweet spot where I have to cut myself off from eating an entire box of Mac & Cheese by myself. With the classic Kraft Mac & Cheese cheesy base, Ramen Chicken adds a hint of savory chicken seasoning. Seriously, just a hint.
