But now the chain is rolling out a new contender: **Caesar Sauce**. “The math is mathing for McDonald’s latest craveable addition,” McDonald’s wrote in [the company’s announcement](https://corporate.mcdonalds.com/corpmcd/our-stories/article/USmenuspotter.html?ref=theomnicosm.com) of the upcoming menu. “Meet McDonald’s Caesar Sauce — a creamy, garlicky parmesan blend infused with notes of lemon that’s giving fan-favorite chicken items a glow-up this summer.” Like with many of the restaurant’s limited-edition sauces — [Hot Honey](https://www.theomnicosm.com/sweet-heat-pretty-neat-mcdonalds-nails-its-new-hot-honey-sauce/), [Buffalo Ranch](https://www.theomnicosm.com/thanks-to-mcdonalds-latest-sauce-you-dont-have-to-choose-between-buffalo-and-ranch/), [Special Edition Gold](https://www.theomnicosm.com/the-golden-arches-rolls-out-a-special-edition-gold-sauce/) — McDonald’s is offering versions of two of its chicken-based menu items crafted around the new condiment. For this release, the **Bacon Caesar McCrispy Sandwich** and **Caesar Snack Wrap** are the two highlights. The Caesar Sauce menu officially goes live on July 21, but there’s a good chance your McDonald’s is already offering these items through the app. OK, we should probably address the elephant in the room. A cyclosporiasis outbreak is sweeping the nation. If you don’t already know the “explosive” symptoms of this outbreak, [I’ll give you a moment to google them](https://www.washingtonpost.com/health/2026/07/10/why-we-dont-know-what-food-is-spreading-parasite-sickening-thousands/?ref=theomnicosm.com). Unfortunately, we’re not sure where the outbreak began or what food is spreading the cyclospora parasite, but lettuce is one of the prime suspects. I ordered both the Bacon Caesar McCrispy Sandwich and the Caesar Snack Wrap without lettuce to be on the safe side. Not that I’m saying there’s any issue with McDonald’s produce. I hate that Taco Bell is being set up as the scapegoat for this outbreak too. I don’t think McDonald’s take on a premium chicken sandwich is in the same league as the Popeyes Chicken Sandwich that kickstarted this craze, but it’s easily one of the best items on the McDonald’s menu. And you know what? It promised “a creamy, garlicky parmesan blend infused with notes of lemon,” and its Caesar Sauce delivers on that promise. [The mystery of whether or not I actually tried](https://www.theomnicosm.com/snackology-review-mcdonalds-mccrispy-strips/) the revamped McCrispy Strips last week thickens. The chicken tender in my Caesar Snack Wrap had a much fuller coating of “new panko-coating breading” compared to the McCrispy Strips I last purchased.
