Hello! Welcome to **The** **Box Office Report** for the weekend of Feb. 27-March 1, 2026.

## 1\. Scream 7

*Weekend gross: *$64.1M**
*Total domestic gross: *$64.1M**
*Last weekend: *1st**
*Percent drop: *New release**

*Scream 7* had trouble scaring up positive reviews, but that didn’t stop moviegoers from sending the film to the biggest opening weekend in franchise history. The *Scream* series has been on the uptick since returning to theaters in 2022, with the confusingly named *Scream* (the fifth movie in the series) opening with $30 million and *Scream VI* following a year later with a $44.4 million first weekend.

*Scream 7* (I guess we’re dropping the roman numerals, huh?) obliterated *Scream VI*’s previous record debut, upping it by almost $20 million for a $64.1 million first frame. The seventh *Scream* movie has already passed *Scream 4*’s entire $38.2 million domestic haul.

## 2\. GOAT

*Weekend gross: *$12M**
*Total domestic gross: *$74M**
*Last weekend: *1st**
*Percent drop: *29**

*GOAT* has shown impressive staying power, dropping only 29 percent this weekend after a respectable 38 percent drop last weekend. The animated film’s consistency has allowed it to pass the $72.3 million North American total amassed by *“Wuthering Heights.”*

It’ll be interesting to see if *GOAT*’s status as the latest animated movie in theaters (*Zootopia 2* is still kicking around too) translates into a solid debut for *Hoppers* next weekend.

## 3\. “Wuthering Heights”

*Weekend gross: *$7M**
*Total domestic gross: *$72.3M**
*Last weekend: *2nd**
*Percent drop: *50**

*“Wuthering Heights”* has played a bit like an event movie, taking advantage of fans of the novel and **Emerald Fennell**’s work to score a $32.8 million opening weekend last month before going on to suffer weekend-to-weekend drops of 57 percent and 50 percent.

## 4\. Twenty One Pilots: More Than We Ever Imagined

*Weekend gross: *$4.3M**
*Total domestic gross: *$4.3M**
*Last weekend: *NA**
*Percent increase: *New release**

Speaking of event movies ... there’s a Twenty One Pilots concert film? I had no idea this one existed, but here it is at No. 4\. *Twenty One Pilots: More Than We Ever Imagined* was shot during the duo’s The Clancy World Tour and played across 833 screens this weekend.

## 5\. EPiC: Elvis Presley in Concert

*Weekend gross: *$3.5M**
*Total domestic gross: *$7.8M**
*Last weekend: *7th**
*Percent increase: *9**

It turns out **Baz Luhrmann** wasn’t done making movies about **Elvis Presley**. The director, who previously helmed the **Austin Butler**\-starring *Elvis*, transformed a bunch of footage from the musician’s estate into a documentary.

Oh wait, I just got that “EPiC” stands for “Elvis Presley in Concert.”
