McCarthy is a certified member of *SNL*’s Five-Timers Club. All five of those hosting gigs came from October 2011 to May 2017, though, and with the exception of cameos in 2018 [and 2024](https://www.theomnicosm.com/nine-five-timers-club-members-and-jimmy-fallon-welcome-martin-short-into-the-snl-club/), McCarthy hasn’t been a major force on *SNL* since that burst of activity.
