I think the Mars candy company is trying to pull a fast one on us.

Hear me out. [Back in 2023](https://sporked.com/article/mms-white-chocolate-marshmallow-crispy-treat?ref=theomnicosm.com), they introduced M&Ms White Chocolate Marshmallow Crispy Treat flavor. And now in 2025, they’ve introduced **M&Ms Marshmallow Crispy** candies.

The White Chocolate Crispy Treat M&Ms were available everywhere and came in Easter-y colors, featuring the Green M&M as the flavor’s spokescandy. The Marshmallow Crispy M&Ms are a Target exclusive and come in blue, light blue and beige, featuring the Orange M&M as the flavor’s spokescandy.

With the exception of the branding, colors and mascot, White Chocolate Marshmallow Crispy Treat M&Ms and Marshmallow Crispy M&Ms seem to be the exact same version of the classic candy. The Mars candy company changed a few things, but at the end of the day, this is an M&M flavor that’s trying to evoke the taste of a Rice Krispie Treat.

So how did the latest M&M flavor to attempt this do?

### Where I found it

This time around, Marshmallow Crispy M&Ms is a **Target** exclusive. I purchased mine from their website.

### What I paid

A 7.4 oz. bag of Marshmallow Crispy M&Ms was **$4.99**.

### My thoughts

The year 2023 wasn’t all that long ago, and I do distinctly remember picking up the White Chocolate Marshmallow Crispy Treat M&Ms when I discovered them in the Easter seasonal aisle of Target. I enjoy Rice Krispie treats. I enjoy M&Ms. And I definitely wanted to see how the two flavors went together. (It’s been a big year for the Rice Krispie Treats flavor, [with several new Easter candies](https://www.theomnicosm.com/you-know-you-want-nerds-gummy-clusters-in-your-easter-basket-2/) offering that variety.)

Marshmallow Crispy M&Ms are not your standard variety of M&Ms, having a white chocolate core instead of the usual milk chocolate center. M&Ms flavors that attempt to mimic more sugary foods often go in the white chocolate direction in order to let those flavors — Rice Krispie Treats, [Strawberries & Creme](https://www.theomnicosm.com/reeses-cups-m-ms-nerds-gummy-clusters-its-a-valentines-day-extravaganza/), candy corn — shine through.

The crispy M&M is a wildly underrated M&Ms option. Yes, the peanut M&M is a classic and is the candy’s go-to option when it comes to adding some crunch, but there’s something about a crispy M&M that just bites in a different way.

It’s the perfect choice for an M&M flavor that wants to remind you of Rice Krispie Treats — in the most legally friendly, generic way — when you bite into them.

The white chocolate in the Marshmallow Crispy M&Ms is probably a touch too sweet, but it expertly walks the line of forcing you to battle between *is this too sweet?* and *should I keep eating these?*

### Final verdict: BUY?

While I’m not going to offer a rave review to Marshmallow Crispy M&Ms, I did enjoy them. I think I’m weirdly a sucker for the white chocolate varieties of the candy. (I might be the *only* person who enjoyed the white chocolate candy corn flavor that was around a few years back.) I’ve also been a fan of the original (non pretzel) version of the crispy M&M since I first found a bag in the fairly new Target in my hometown a good quarter century ago.

Sorry, this got way too deep. If you see Marshmallow Crispy M&Ms at Target and you like a white chocolate M&M, toss them into your cart.
