It’s impossible to avoid the Kelce brothers. **Travis Kelce** is dating **Taylor Swift**. ([And hosting *SNL*.](https://www.theomnicosm.com/deep-snl-thoughts-travis-kelce-knocks/)) **Jason Kelce** is now on *Monday Night Football*. (And taking his shirt off at Buffalo Bills games.) The duo hosts a popular podcast. And now the brothers have their very own cereal.

And it’s not just any cereal. **Kelce Mix** is three cereals in one: Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Lucky Charms and Reese’s Puffs.

“I’ve said that I’d eat a whole box of Reese’s Puffs cereal in one sitting, and while I stand by that, our creation might just be the new MVP of the cereal aisle,” [Travis Kelce said in a statement from General Mills](https://www.generalmills.com/news/press-releases/travis-and-jason-kelce-compete-at-general-mills-cereal-training-camp?ref=theomnicosm.com). “We’d go through two to three boxes of our favorite cereals a week when we were growing up, so being able to team up with General Mills now is a full circle moment for us.”

So is this cereal any good? Should you pick up a box even if you’re not a Kansas City Chiefs fan? (It’s hard to live up to the breakfast of champions for Buffalo Bills fans: Labatt Blue.)

What, no mascot for Reese’s Puffs?

### Where I found it

After checking Harris Teeter and Giant for Kelce Mix over the past few days, I discovered this box on an endcap at **Target**.

### What I paid

A box of Kelce Mix was **$5.59**. That’s less than $2.80 per Kelce brother.

### My thoughts

I’ll be honest here, I was fully prepared to hate Kelce Mix. Part of it is probably being a Bills fan. (I came into Travis’ episode of *SNL* with the same mindset.) Part of it is that Kelce Mix is clearly a gimmick. But, hey, trying gimmicks is why I created **Snackology**.

The combo of Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Lucky Charms and Reese’s Puffs aren’t the three cereals that I’d put together if I was asked to create a mix. My brother Tim grew up mixing Apple Cinnamon Cheerios, Corn Chex and Rice Krispies every morning.

“Mine was built for flavors that go together. Just picking sugary cereals doesn’t make sense,” Tim tells me before adding: “We also weren’t allowed sugary cereals.”

If you’re creating an official cereal mix that can be sold in stores, though, you need to play by corporate rules. Which means in this case, the Kelce brothers were bound by brands under the General Mills umbrella. So no Rice Krispies. No Frosted Flakes. No Corn Pops.

Looking beige.

I opened the box of Kelce Mix and was surprised by how beige everything was. With the exception of the Lucky Charms marshmallows, Kelce Mix lacks color. A Kellogg’s partnership could’ve gotten some Froot Loops into the mix.

Would Kelce Mix taste as bland as it looked?

I poured my bowl. I added some almond milk. I took a spoonful …

Dang it, Kelce brothers. This is a good cereal.

Sure, there could always be more Lucky Charms marshmallows, but everything works together. The Cinnamon Toast Crunch complements the Reese’s Puffs. The Lucky Charms cereal bits cut the sweetness of everything. And you can never go wrong with Cinnamon Toast Crunch.

Needs more marshmallows.

### Final verdict: BUY

The Kelce brothers don’t need another win. But I can’t not give this one to them. Kelce Mix is a great addition to your cereal shelf. I poured a second bowl after finishing my first — the greatest compliment you can give to a cereal.
