I did not have a *Waiting to Exhale* spoof on my bingo card of ideas for **Teyana Taylor**’s *SNL* promo. (Mostly because that’s not how bingo cards work.) But this was one of the more inspired promos of Season 51, with the *One Battle After Another* star joining [breakout star **Ashley Padilla**](https://www.theomnicosm.com/josh-oconnor-hosted-snl-but-ashley-padilla-ran-away-with-the-episode/) to channel **Angela Bassett** after **Andrew Dismukes** at Padilla’s eggplant parm.
